About Patrick Snyder:

I have been active in Emergency Preparedness and Response for over 30 years in the Houston Area.  I am a decorated Vietnam Combat Veteran with the 199th Light Infantry Brigade, 69/70.  Locally, I have served with the FM 1960 Chamber of Commerce Emergency Preparedness Committee and was one of the Founders of the first CERT Team in Houston.  I also served as the Founding Chairman of The Greenspoint Chamber of Commerce Emergency Preparedness Committee.  Since that time, over 22,000 Houston Volunteers have been through this Program.  I served two years on the Board of NARI, The National Association of the Remodeling Industry.  I was a Certified Mold Remediator in the Insurance Restoration Industry for ARS.  I have served as the Marketing Director of an Assisted Living Community with 100 Residents and an Alzheimers Unit with 20 patients.  I have been an Eagle Scout for over 60 years and served as a Cubmaster, Commissioner, and, presently as the JOTA Coordinator (Jamboree On The Air) for the International Committee of the Sam Houston Area Council.  I am a Licensed Ham Operator, and on October 19th, 2024 supervised a JOTA Project that launched a Balloon Transmitter that has Circumnavigated the Earth Twice.

I have received Emergency Response Training from Boy Scouts of America, the Red Cross and FEMA.  I have sat on and attended Table Top Exercises and numerous First Responder Seminars and Conferences.  I have personally responded to Hurricanes, Floods, Earthquakes, Wildfires, Riots and Tornados, and have trained and lead others in responding to these types of disasters, natural and manmade.
